Standard Liege has confirmed they have agreed a deal with the Russian side. Carcela will join Anzhi Makhachkala, pending a medical in Rome.
The 22-year-old will sign a four-year contract with Anzhi Makhachkala.
A statement on Standard’s official website read: “An agreement was reached yesterday [Monday] at around midnight between Standard Liege and the Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
“Mehdi Carcela will now travel to Rome to pass medical tests prior to signing a contract of four years. Carcela should therefore, in the coming hours, officially become a teammate of Samuel Eto’o and [Mbark] Boussoufa.”
