The 29-year-old’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
“I’m out of contract at the end of the season, but with the massive changes there have been, the last thing they want to do is talk about contracts,” said Arca.
“I’ll see what happens with this manager and how things improve. If they come to me, we can sit down and talk.
“Would I like to sign a new deal? Yes, obviously. When things start to get better and you’re in a team that has a chance to get promoted – and if that happens – yes, you want to stay.
“But that’s not totally up to me. I’m going to have to wait to see what happens.
“I’m fighting but it’s not just because it’s my last year, I always try to do as well as I can. It’s up to the club whether they want to extend my contract.
“I’ve had a good time here and while I’m here I’ll do all I can to help put the club back in the Premier League.
“If I’m here, it would be great. If not, I will wish them all the best.”
