Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to bring in Goetze, after getting rave reports from his German scout.
The 18-year-old has impressed for Bundesliga winners Borussia Dortmund this season and Dortmund’s Technical Director Mattheus Sammer has hailed the youngster as “one of the best talents” in Germany.
Goetze could join Arsenal as a replacement for Samir Nasri, should the French international not agree to a new deal.
