Fabregas picked up a hamstring injury in the 2-0 loss to Portuguese side Braga in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger told Sky Sports: “It is a hamstring injury. It is difficult to be predict how long he will be out for. It is on the other leg.
“He will be out for the weekend.”
