He told Villa’s website: “To have a chance of going to a European Championships with the senior squad would be a dream come true. Every player wants to play at the highest level and I’d love to help England reach the European Championships.
“Just training with the national team can only help me continue to develop as a player. But like every other player in the squad I want to play and I’d love to get a chance in these two games.
“I played for the Under-21s in the summer in a major tournament and it was an amazing experience. Things went well for me and I came into this season with loads of confidence.”
