O’Neill told The Sun: “I had Lennon for five years at Leicester and five years at Celtic and he was a leader and played like a captain every week.
“So I see similarities with Nigel. He’s got the same power, energy and aggression in abundance.
“I am trying to get a young side that is going to develop. I’ve no doubt Nigel will be a driving force.”
