Nigel Reo-Coker, John Carew and Robert Pires have all been told they will not be offered new deals.
Carew, who has spent he past few months on loan with Stoke, is keen to sign a permanent contract with the Potters.
Moustapha Salifou and Isaiah Osbourne along with youngsters Harry Forrester, Arsenio Halfhuid, Durrell Berry, Ellis Deeney and Calum Flanagan will also be leaving Villa.
