Young featured as a second-half substitute in England’s 2-1 win over Hungary at Wembley on Wednesday.
“Who knows what will happen (with England)? I have just got to keep doing what I am doing,” said Young.
“It is back to club level and I have got to go out and play well. Fingers crossed I can get myself back in the squad for the qualifiers coming up soon.”
Young added: “I have felt confident all pre-season and for me to get another chance to get myself back in the England squad and get out there and play, that is all that matters to me.
“Everybody wants to get off to a winning start – that sets you off from the word go at the start of the season.
“Hopefully, that will take you through to the next (England) games that you have got coming up.”
