The Swede was confirmed as Ian McParland’s replacement as manager for the Magpies on Tuesday.
“It’s very, very big, but the target is clear and you have to get promotion in the first season – that is for sure,” he told Sky Sports News.
“But I like that challenge, I think it’s great to be back in England and to be a part of this journey too.”
