The Spanish giants could make a move for the Brazilian winger in January after failing to tempt Manchester City into letting Robinho move to Camp Nou.
“There is clear interest from Barcelona. They regularly scout him and are likely to continue to do so until January,” William’s agent, Paulo Tavares, confirmed.
“So far, there’s nothing concrete. We hope, however, to sit at the table to start talking before the year ends. If a major European team makes a good offer, he will not stay at Shakhtar.
“His club calls for between €20 million and €22m.
“So far, apart from Barca, Sevilla in Spain and Olympique Lyonnais in France have been in touch with me, but again, there is nothing concrete at this time.”
