The injury is expected to keep the defender out for between seven and 10 days.
The Brazilian defender will at least miss the Primera Division clash with Granada and the Champions League game against Ajax.
“Tests carried out on Thursday morning have confirmed that Dani Alves has a slight tear of the right leg soleus muscle. He’ll be out for between seven and 10 days,” read a statement on Barcelona’s official website.
“In principle, Alves will miss the games against Granada and Ajax.”
