The Brazil international suffered the injury in Wednesday’s 1-1 Champions League draw at Roma.
The 22-year-old is set to undergo surgery on the injury in the next few days.
“It’s a very ugly injury. It’s the bad news of the day,” Barcelona boss Luis Enrique told beIN Sports.
“The injury has affected the play in the spirit of the players. In the first half we had the goal and in the second, the injury.”
