The 25-year-old is set to leave the club following the arrival of Argentina right-back Marcos Angeleri, according to the Sunday Mirror.
West Bromwich Albion and Blackpool are reportedly keen on Bardsley.
Bardsley joined Sunderland from Manchester United in a £2million deal in January 2008.
