Neuer joined Bayern Munich from Schalke this summer.
“I’m delighted we’ve won. Schalke came very close twice in the first half, they were a shade unlucky there,” Neuer told the club’s official website.
“But we were very good in defence again today. We were rock solid, and that’s very important. I certainly had more to do when I played for Schalke last season.
“I’ve had to adapt my game, but you get used to it.”
