Gomez scored the only goal of the game in the win over Portugal on Saturday.
“If he (Gomez) did more work [off the ball] he would get a lot more chances and score a lot more goals,” Scholl said on ARD.
“A striker today has to work more and help his team mates.
“Between (the times he looked a threat) I was worried that he might get bedsores.”
