Magath will leave the German giants with immediate effect, after only managing a 0-0 draw at home against Bochum, and loosing 2-3 away against BVB last Friday.
Magath joined Bayern Munich as coach at July 1st 2004, and has won the league twice and the DFB cup.
The Bild newspaper reports that Ottmar Hitzfeld is the probably successor of Magath.
Hitzfeld was the coach at Bayern Munich from 1 July 1998 to 30 June 2004.
