The new deal will keep the 22-year-old at Leverkusen until the summer of 2015.
Bender joined Leverkusen from 1860 Munich in 2009 in a €2.5million euros deal.
Bayer sporting director Rudi Voller said: “Lars (Bender) is an important component to the future of the club.”
