The Angola striker has been struggling with injuries in rececnt years.
“We will have a meeting on Friday with Pedro to discuss his future. He has always been an example to follow at Benfica. He’s always had the desire and dedication to do his utmost for the club and he has suffered a lot recently,” Filipe Vieira was quoted as saying by Sic.
“He has been extremely unfortunate and it’s up to Benfica to look after the player and take care of him. Pedro is a very important asset for the club and we will treat him with dignity. He isn’t likely to stay on as a player though.”
