The Black Cats have agreed to pay a club record £10million for the highly rated striker.
Bent has signed a four-year contract with Sunderland and becomes the club’s fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Frazier Campbell, Lorik Cana and Paulo Da Silva.
