United are ready to hand Berbatov a one-year contract extension, according to The Sun.
Berbatov’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
But United have decided to activate a clause in Berbatov’s contract that triggers the extension.
The 31-year-old has recently been linked with moves to the likes of Paris St Germain and Bayer Leverkusen.
