Kuranyi’s current contract with Schalke is set to expire at the end of the season and the striker is yet to be offered an extension.
Schalke could be forced to cash in on the former Stuttgart star in January due to their dire financial situation.
Kuranyi has been linked with a £5million move for Birmingham.
The 27-year-old said: “I don’t know where I will be playing next season, but I hope it is with Schalke.”
