Birmingham goalkeeper Ben Foster has recently been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham.
McLeish said: “If people are going to be interested in our players, and our best players at that, then they are going to have to pay a lot of money.
“We won’t be letting anyone go cheaply – if at all.
“We are looking also to build this summer. We’ve got Europe coming up as well to take under consideration.”
