Hunt sent a letter to the club’s Indian owners Venky’s in December where he stated he wanted them to sack manager Steve Kean.
Hunt has now left Blackburn after his letter was leaked.
Blackburn said in a statement: “Blackburn Rovers Football Club can confirm that deputy chief executive Paul Hunt has left the club.”
