Blackburn star looking forward to Man Utd clash

Emerton believes they need at least one point to secure survival in the top flight.

“We’ll go into the Manchester United game to try and at least claim a point if not all three,” said Emerton on Rovers Player.

“We have two very important games remaining and hopefully exciting ones. We are in the driving seat and barring a disaster in the last two games we should be able to keep ourselves safe and play another year in the Premier League where this club belongs.”

“I’ve never played in a league so tight, it has been a really interesting season both at the bottom and at the top as well. It has been a great season for football supporters to watch,” he added.

“Mentally it has been a very tough hard season, we just want to get ourselves safe and start preparing for next year. With the squad of players that we’ve got we can hopefully do something special.”
