Goals from Matt Jarvis and Jamie O’Hara and a brace from Sylvan Ebanks-Blake secured the win for Wolves.
Holloway branded his side’s performance in the game as one of the worst during his time at the club.
“What disappoints me is I don’t mind losing but it’s the way you lose and today was probably one of the most disappointing performances I’ve seen from any team of mine in a Blackpool shirt,” he told Sky Sports.
“Well done to Wolves – they were terrific, they were up for it, they’ve got a terrific home record and we’ve got to get on with the next one.
“We couldn’t match what we did on Tuesday night (against Tottenham) and were definitely beaten by the better team today.
“We spoke about trying to be solid and from more or less the first move that they had, they scored. How is Jarvis in that much space on the edge of the box? – I’ll have to have a look at it. It was a mountain to climb from then.”
