Phillips is currently not a regular at Blackpool and has spent time on loan at Sheffield United, where he impressed.
“I would definitely come back if an opportunity arose,” he told The Star. “I have got to see what Ian Holloway thinks now. Obviously he sent me away to get minutes and I’ve done that so we will take it from there.
“I went to United wanting to add goals to my game and I feel I have done that. Hopefully I helped the club along the way.”
He added: “It has been great to come to a big club like United and play every week. I have been over the moon with how things have worked out and I would like to thank the lads and management for making me feel so welcome.”
