Nolan said: “I wouldn’t swap Jussi for any keeper in the world.
“He was out of contract in the summer so we were relieved when he signed up to stay.
“Jussi pulls them off in training every day. I don’t want to praise him too much because he gets big-headed but I think he’s up there with the very best.
“We think we can break into the top-four bracket and upset one or two of the big boys this year. Our main aim is to get into Europe and we were disappointed to miss out on the last day of the season.
“It was important after last week’s great 4-0 win at home over West Ham that we got a result here. Villa are very good at home and we knew it was going to be tough.
“We had our backs to the wall for the majority of the game but we hung in there. We ground out the result but there have been other games where we have played well and come away with nothing.”
