Fernando, who has linked with a move to Werder Bremen during the summer, could leave Bordeaux in the January transfer window.
“It’s not news that my client is liked a lot by [Gian Piero] Gasperini’s Genoa, especially given that the club are looking for a midfielder with Fernando’s characteristics,” Massimiliano Ricci revealed to Itasportpress.
“The recent contacts have been with the aforementioned, but an official offer from president Enrico Preziosi is still missing.
“If he wants to conclude the transfer in January, the transfer needs to be accelerated. Fernando would leave Bordeaux and the Champions League for the Ligurian side’s ambitious project.
“He will be out of contract in a year and a half, and I believe that playing in Italy would be an important move, particularly at such a serious club as Preziosi’s.”
