Menez is regarded as one of the most talented French youngsters in football.
“He is a young player,” Blanc told Centro Suono Sport.
“He has huge talent, but until now he has not done everything that was expected of him.
“For me, to go to Monaco was the wrong choice. Last year he was injured, but then he was fortunate enough to find a team like Roma.
“Potentially he is a player who can win a game by himself, but he needs to be given time.”
Menez joined Roma from French side Monaco last month.
