Roar has signed the 29-year-old former Feyenoord defender on a three-month deal with a view to a long-term deal.
“He plays in a position we’re really thin in at the moment and need reinforcements,” Postecoglou said.
“We wanted someone keen to come here and who was ambitious, and Pieter showed all those qualities.”
