Bulgaria have been hauled before UEFA over the allegations, but their Football Union President has shamefully denied that there was any racism.
Racism is an endemic issue across eastern Europe, where abuse of non-white players is rife.
“There were no racial chants during the game and the match delegate said the same and there’s nothing like this in his report,” Borislav Mihaylov told reporters.
