Burdisso’s agent, Fernando Hidalgo, has confirmed that his client his closing in on a move to Roma.
“I have spoken with [Roma sporting director Daniele] Prade to do [the deal] today, not tomorrow, because he can be available for Roma on Sunday,” Hidalgo told Radio Radio.
“Obviously that depends on [coach Luciano] Spalletti. The transfer would be immediate, I have called Prade to shorten the time. Now the two clubs must talk and close [the deal] as soon as possible because the player does not want to stay in this situation any more.
“We do not want any golden handshakes from Inter, just an annulment of the contract. If Roma want the player, they must give him a two year deal as he had at Inter, no more and no less, because they are buying him for nothing.”
He added: “Burdisso is willing to reduce his salary in order to go to Roma. I am optimistic. I have an offer from a Spanish side on the table, but he wants to go to Roma – he has decided on that.”
