Pedro is unhappy with his lack of playing time at Camp Nou and is reportedlye close to joining Manchester United.
Newspaper reports today also claim Manchester City have joined the race for Pedro, but Busquets is keen to keep his team-mater at the club.
“I am selfish and I want Pedro to stay. We are friends and he gives a lot to the team,” Busquets said at a press conference.
“Until there is any official word, the entire team hopes he will stay here. It is a difficult moment for him, but we wish him all the best.
“He wants to stay at Barcelona, but he also wants regular playing time, like every player in the world. I hope that whatever happens is what’s best for him.
“He will always give his all for the team, whether he stays here or moves on. It is up to him to make a decision. He will continue to give his all for the team right until the end.”
