The new deal will keep Buttner at the club until the summer of 2013.
The 22 year-old said: “The good feeling I have at the club and the ambition I have has made me want to stay longer.
“I am confident that when we start the new season we will improve our performance and…I would like to develop myself at Vitesse.”
