United have travelled to Japan for the Club World Cup and are currently third in the Premiership and could be nine points behind Liverpool when they return from Asia.
He said: “I know very well what it will be like. You have to deal with jet lag and the time to recover is short.
“At this moment a lot of the Big Four are drawing matches as they are tired in their heads.”
