The Mirror reports that Cardiff are keen to bring in the Senegalese striker on loan.
United are reportedly looking for Cardiff to pay half of Diouf’s wages, around £14,000-a-week.
Diouf spent last season on loan at Blackburn and is currently behind in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
