Carew said: “I’d like to stay at Villa for a while – longer than I have at some of my previous clubs.
“I don’t know why I haven’t stayed with one club before. Sometimes I get a little restless but now that I am older, maybe it is time to settle.
“This is definitely not a one-year thing for me. I like the English way of life and the people are nice.”
