Casillas suffered a broken hand this week, forcing Real Madrid to move to sign Diego Lopez from Sevilla.
Dr. Miguel del Cerro operated on Casillas and told AS: “Everything went well. I have reduced the broken fragments and synthesized with two 17mm x 2mm screws. It went better than expected as I was able to reconstruct the joint perfectly.
“I do not like talking about deadlines, but he will be sidelined for anywhere between eight to 12 weeks.”
