Sampdoria are working to terminate Cassano’s contract following the midfielder’s row with club President Riccardo Garrone.
“If I can, then I’d like to continue playing for Samp,” Cassano is quoted as saying in Il Giornale newspaper.
“Otherwise, I may change club, but will stay in this area, maybe even at Genoa.
“I’ll think of a city where it is easy to travel to Genoa, such as Parma, Milan, Florence or Turin.”
