The 26-year-old has been linked with several clubs, including Lazio, Roma, Fiorentina, Juventus and Manchester City.
“It is not the right time to be speaking about the transfer market, as both Lazio and us have to think about saving ourselves from relegation,” Lo Monaco told TMW.
“But I will say that there has been something between us and the Biancocelesti in the past.
“In January, we wanted [midfielder Pasquale] Foggia, and [Lazio president Claudio] Lotito asked us for Martinez, but then everything went sour.
“After three seasons at the highest level, the society has been having thoughts about letting him go after the end of next season, when his contract expires. Once a player reaches a certain level, it is difficult to keep ahold of them.
“But we will only sell him off for money [and not a player exchange]. The correct price for him is €12 million, as Roma, Fiorentina, Juventus and Manchester City have all made inquiries about the player.”
