Strachan said: “I don’t know if Europe will treat us differently because we have beaten Manchester United and reached the knockout stage of the Champions League.
“What I do know is we have got to make sure we don’t treat ourselves differently because I still think we are a good side but not a great side.
“We have got some good players, and we have got some great players.
“Look at last night, Stephen McManus, Paul Telfer and Lee Naylor were magnificent while Bobo Balde was far better in the second half.
“It says a lot for him to play as poorly as he did in the first half – remember he has not had many games since returning from injury – but then stand up and be counted when it mattered.”
