The 27-year-old has been out of action for the last three matches with a thigh injury.
He told The Scottish Daily Express: “Maybe I could have made the Motherwell game at the weekend but we wanted to play it safe.
“The duel against Hamburg for me, of course, is a special game.
“I am fit again and I am confident that I can play against Hamburg provided no complications occur during training.”
