Chadwich is currently on loan at Milton Keynes Dons from Norwich City.
The former Manchester United youngster picked up a knee problem in training last week.
“Unfortunately, Luke picked up an injury in training on Thursday and he’s going to be out for a while,” MK Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo told the club’s official website.
“He’s gone back to Norwich to start his rehab, but it’s too early to put a timescale on how long he will be out.”
