Chelsea will face Valencia in the Champions League quarter-finals next month.
David Navarro punched Inter Milan Nicolas Burdisso in the face at the end of last week’s last-16 clash, and then ran away from the Italian players.
Mourinho said: “The thing that’s impressed me most about Valencia is the speed of Navarro. No, seriously!”
He added: “I like Valencia. They have a good team. Carboni has a right to express his opinion. I’m not going to respond.
“I regret Madrid and Barcelona are out – I always want to face the best, the clubs with great tradition in historical stadiums. Who doesn’t?”
