Ferreira told the Daily Mirror: “We need to win the FA Cup Final. It’s a question of pride. A triumph in the last match of this season will change our mood after that terrible week when we lost the league and Champions League.
“This match is open and we have a 50 per cent chance. But the key will be to make a strong start and maintain that intensity for 90 minutes. We have missed players through injury and we will miss big players in the final but we have enough quality to win the game.”
He added on Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo: “He has been the best player this season in England. But he is not a machine and cannot play like that every day. We must make sure we stop him.”
