Cech said: “Liverpool and United shouldn’t be pleased because we still have the quality we had a week or a year ago and we can cope with this. We are all positive we can still make it. The Quadruple is still on.
“We didn’t expect United to drop points against Middlesbrough, so that was a bonus for us. If they had won and so had we, it would have been the same situation, so we are not worried by that.
“The race is still on. I think they have really difficult matches away from home and we hope they will slip up again.
“I think it is more than a hope. In the Premiership nothing is easy. Maybe everyone expected us to win at Newcastle and the same sort of thing can happen to United.”
