The Ivory Coast star said: “Mourinho has said nothing about his future. He looks very positive, though, and I don’t believe he is about to leave.
“The players are with the coach because he has made us great with the titles we have won. That will never be forgotten.
“To win the Champions League is the maximum prize for a European team and we need to win it now. And in this season when we are going for everything, I can see we could win it.
“I am giving everything on the pitch so we can win things. I still have the feeling of being knocked out last year by Barcelona. There was so little between the two – it was frustrating, even more that they went on to win it.
“The game against Porto won’t be easy. People are making us clear favourites but that is dangerous. The coach is preparing for the game meticulously. Being Portuguese and playing against his old club is not easy.
“I don’t know about the decisions of the owner but, if we win the Champions League, nobody would be able to argue with the coach.”
