The 28-year-old struggled with injuries for most of last season.
“Our objective is to win the Champions League and do more than we did last year,” Chivu explained.
Chivu also insisted that he would not be leaving Inter this summer.
“I have no intention of going away from Milan, because I am not the kind of player who quickly changes team,” he concluded.
