Sao Paulo director of sport Joao Paolo de Jesus Lopez revealed this week that the club would be keen for Cicinho to return.
“We appreciate their interest, as it means that Cicinho has left a good impression of himself,” the representative told AsRomaLive.com.
“But the player is not suffering from saudade. He is recovering and played precious minutes against Udinese.
“It’s not true that Cicinho is disappointed. He is coming off an injury and it’s normal that he needs a running-in period.
“And I hope that he will be able to give his contribution to the team against Bologna.”
