Cigarini joined Sevilla from Napoli earlier this summer.
“Everything went well, I am very pleased with the transfer to Sevilla,” the 24-year-old said to Palabra de Futbol.
“I cannot wait to begin at a new club – even one that plays in the Champions League.
“[Current Napoli goalkeeper Morgan] De Sanctis has spoken very highly about Sevilla as a city and a society.
“Everyone is available, and I hope to settle in quickly. At Napoli, I played little because there was a coach who had his ideas.
“I am here to relaunch my career, and I thank the society for having faith in me. I will everything I can to repay the faith.
“I wish to remain in Spain for a long time.”
